Beer + Bacon + Bands + Comedy = Baconfest!

First off, this is Jac.’s resident male. Just in case you’re confused as to why today’s blog post is about beer and bacon.
Now on to an important service announcement:
Arrested Development isn’t coming back anytime soon.
No George Michael. No Tobias Funke. No Bluths are in our future. Outside of 30 Rock and The Office, TV is littered with a litany of tragicomedies. Two and A Half Men (Charlie Sheen’s ode to bachlerhood). Til’ Death (starring that ridiculously tall guy from Everybody Loves Raymond). You know what I’m talking about. It’s enough to make you want to Tivo the early morning episodes of Diff’rent Strokes.
That’s the bad news. The good news is Dad’s Garage.
Dad’s Garage is located right around the corner from Jac. It’s a fantastic improv theater that features both scripted comedies as well as good ‘ole improv. It’s a good time, every time, and in my opinion one of Atlanta’s hidden gems. And now, you’ve got an excuse to go. This weekend is their annual Baconfest (from 2-7 pm), an afternoon festival dedicated to eating bacon, drinking beer, raising money to support a most excellent non-profit theater company, and laughing. Oh, and they also have live music. Anyway, it’s definitely a must-attend for folks that either enjoy laughing or eating bacon. Or both. So get off your keester, turn off you Mr. Show dvd and head over to Dad’s Garage on Saturday (and stop by Jac. to say hi, of course!).
