Yesterday I broke my 15 month hiatus of not going to a theater. It was time I felt, though On Demand had been filling in quite nicely (most recently, Nick & Nora's Playlist (ugh) and The Wackness (weird) - all very teen angsty). And so I went to a matinee showing of Adventureland.

Adventureland is set in 1987 - and features some of the great trends and music from that very distinctive era....and of course we all know how trends cycle back through....the good ones at least - some of which we have here at Jac!

So, this week is all about the flourishing of our men's sections. Newly added to the stock pile are mustache printed handkerchiefs by Avril Loreti!! And they're not your Grandpa's old ragged plaid one. With styles inspired by Salvador Dali and Tom Selleck, how could you not get a chuckle out of every blow?!


Speaking of other, wickedly amazing men's items, we have received a wonderful flush of Steven Alan. Sailor striped cotton-cashmere blend sweaters, bright plaid coloured ties, that, honestly i wouldn't mind wearing myself and short sleeved white button- down shirts, that of course are perfectly finished with a french seam. Check em out!!

If you weren't already head over heels in love with our yummy tie-dye line Love Tanjane - the softest most delicious I-want-to-wear-you-all-the-time silhouettes - then as an added bonus, this month's Elle Magazine has stated that this season's styles are marked by glorious tie-dye here.

Those Fall Jeans you've been waiting for have arrived!

The newest arrival to our Fall collection is our new denim jeans. What I love about the denim here at Jac. is the diversity in design and material. I love the fact that when you slide on pair of James, Anlo, or Kasil denim you can dress it up or dress it down. They can be paired with a silk shirt, the highest of high heels, and you are ready to head out for the night and feel dressed up and comfortable at the same time. On the other side of the coin you can grab a pair of Converse and a tee shirt and go for a bike ride on a Sunday afternoon. Regardless of what you envision for your day, the denim here at Jac. will be a sure fire way to feel good while looking good!

James jeans is a company based out of Los Angeles where they take much pride in the process of dry aging their denim. Here are a few examples of the James jeans we carry here at Jac. for Fall.

I just can't seem to stop thinking and dreaming about the beach.. and obviously outfit planning. So if you are feeling as obsessed as I am lately and you have a trip coming up, we've got what you need!

I am going to the beach in July and I'm soooo excited to get out of town and head to the panhandle. If you are anything like me, I plan every detail before going away. My planning always includes aspects like: where to eat lunches, dinners, where to get my morning coffee, where am I going to rent the wave-runner from, what day to go parasailing on, and down to what I'm going to wear. I know I know, I'm a bit overly involved in preplanning but I can't help it.

So, I have to tell you what's new here at Jac. and how they going with me on my summer beach vaykay to the beach- Raven Tailored shorts. I am loving these new shorts we just got in today! We have a few color and pattern options for you to choose from but the over all design is HOT!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Well, I agree with Katie, spring time is my FAVORITE season hands down! But before I grab my sunglasses and head for the park, I know I have to prepare for the months ahead of erratic temperatures. Being a native to the south, I am very familiar with the spring time weather here. At 2pm on any given southern day, its super sunny, 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. But a few hours later it drops to jacket weather. So, needless to say I'm a huge fan of layering and always having a jacket on hand at all times!

I have been scouting out a few jackets we have here at Jac to add to my wardrobe. Super cute and chic, light weight trench designed by marimekko is sure to turn heads as you walk by.
