Step Up and Out

What can I say?! Frye just simply knows how to design fabulous
shoes that will be passed on to your children's children!
I think with the overwhelming assortment of boots and booties
out there for Fall/Winter, we tend to become numb to the style.
But the classic elements Frye includes always brings me back to
my senses.
Using their standard luxe leathers, they created Matilda!
A ankle boot subtly on trend, yet will never be thrown in the
"Why-did-I-follow-That-Trend" bin for donation pick-up
Beautiful black stitching details its curves and folds.
With a nod to the hardware on software trend, buckles act as faux closures
to these easy slip-ons.
Add a platform to the toe to balance out the height of the heel and
these are ready for strutting.

Checkout the Rearview

Make them hate to see you go
But LOVE to watch you leave...

While wearing this Parker open back dress,
words aren't necessary.

these pants by Parker have theeee perfect amount of stretch to hug
all the important parts, yet still allow you to be mobile.

this is a new look from NightCap Clothing. We normally carry their loungewear
as opposed to a hottsie-tottsie look.
But this is like two in one...the soooooftest Supima cotton is used to create these
subtly sexy pieces that are also super comfy.

A Model Citizen

You may recognize model Liya Kebede from strutting on runways in Paris and New York, but now she is doing a little role reversal and taking on the title of designer. Her new lines Matta and Lemlem bring a refreshingly authentic appeal to chic ethnic apparel. New to the Jac-front are scarves from her Lemlem line (translation: to bloom). These hand wovened pieces are made of a gauzy natural cotton and are THEEE perfect accessory for the dog days of Summer. Especially in Atlanta, where style and heat are arch-enemies!
Unlike many of the scarves carried during prior seasons, these scarves are truely effortlessly chic and light weight.Plus proceeds go back to aid the weavers that produce these beauties back in her native country, Ethiopia

Luck Be A Lady

With colours named Parfait and Frosting, you'd probably think LA Made's spring collection consisted of cupcakes and sundaes. Instead they have managed to prepackage that idea into dresses.

This lovely and might I add comfy number, features a smocked back for a perfect fit, removable straps for the minimal fuss, and eyelet tiers for the perfect dose of femininity.
There is only one in the shop, so there will be a lucky lady waltzing around Atlanta.

...and this Luck Eyelet Shift is perfect for a quick get up and go day. Ladies you know what I'm talking about. The days when you don't want your noonday ensemble to require a physics equation to put together.
It's just a little shift with a little bit of eyelet to jazz up the canvas.

Now only if this weather were to clear up a bit...

Double Margarita, Please!!!

The paint-brush effect never looked so good. Designer Margarita Saplala's Spring collection goes beyond the manipulated T-shirts of prior collections. This season incorporates avant-garde with hand-painted print ed silks. And it has me SWOONING!!

This two toned dress features a tuxedo belt back attached, which creates a perfect tucked in blouse effect.

With a droopy asymmetrical neckline, THIS number gives an instant uptown bohemian vibe. The shades of cobalt blue and voilet are so refreshingly vibrant against the cool grey.

PROPERTY OF....BAGS

Property of...is on Jac property!!!

...with ruff-and-tumble-bilty fabric and enough pockets
to fit any complex life into, Property Of...has merged the
essence of a lax lifestyle your everyday 9-5 working self

(my personal fav)... the Mark Tote, an ink colored nylon bag featuring two side-zip pockets, large center pocket that could fit the world plus a bag of chips in. To finish off the "lovely" its' trim and shoulder straps are done in a soft leather.

The Tom Work Bag, honestly, this bag finishes "the look" and I think makes
the man. Its so far from the average structured briefcase and messenger bag...
Its constructed of waxed cotton, with leather trim and woven cotton hand and shoulder straps
Coal color, that brings it home, is all the rage for this upcoming fall.

the Carter Duffel, kind-of makes me want to pack up and go somewhere outdoors-y.
It comes in a washed army green color and trimmed in brown leather and canvas.
Its elongated silhouette leaves enough room for a quick get-away or a day carry-all

Grand Ol' Mini

*exhale* FINALLY, after selling out faster than a L.A. newbie, Mini-Shatsu has resurfaced at Jac!
As a mom I try to keep my mini-chick, Chloe, as sensibly stylish as possible.
I'm not Katie Holmes, so I don't have the time or patience to Suri-fy with ruffles and silk.
Mini-Shatsu has incorporated trompe l'oeil to add a dash of attitude to each cotton onesie.
No dry cleaning bill here!!!

for the essentials only...

here we have a 15x17x7.75in (WHOA!) tote by LeSportSac (found here) for all of your "daily essentials". You know what I mean...your five shades of red lipstick, 2 tubes of mascara, 3 months worth of Vogue and a planner thick enough to rival the President's. The Lexie tote comes in your basic black and a whimsical Faerie print. It includes 2 main compartments, a padded center pocket for your laptop with a zipper closure and an expandable gusset, possibly allowing more room for your weekly groceries. It's also a great carry-on travel tote considering you can pack a week's worth of clothing in it...

man oh man!!!

So, this week is all about the flourishing of our men's sections. Newly added to the stock pile are mustache printed handkerchiefs by Avril Loreti!! And they're not your Grandpa's old ragged plaid one. With styles inspired by Salvador Dali and Tom Selleck, how could you not get a chuckle out of every blow?!

Speaking of other, wickedly amazing men's items, we have received a wonderful flush of Steven Alan. Sailor striped cotton-cashmere blend sweaters, bright plaid coloured ties, that, honestly i wouldn't mind wearing myself and short sleeved white button- down shirts, that of course are perfectly finished with a french seam. Check em out!!

Newbie!!

Hello Everyone!!! My name is Kelly C. and I am so ridiculously amped to be one of the newest members of the Jac. team. I have only been working for 2 days and have fallen in love already. From the exposed air conditioning unit over head to the heaven scented soaps, candles and lotions. Having taken a few laps around the store I found a handful of favorite items. One being the pure soy Vintage Teacup Candles by: Something Beautiful. They include scents such as Grandma Toddy that mimics the aura of fresh baked sugar cookies and warm caramel.

Since I'm a mother of a very active 6 month old my life tends to be hanging on by a fine thread. I then spotted a large metallic clutch by: Give, made of a butter-like leather. (www.shopgive.com) It has a pocket, slot and loop for everything you need when you're on the go.

And finally for the fragrance. Close your eyes and imagine a breeze with the hint of wild geranium, sandlewood, grapefruit, mandarin and bergamot...now exhale and fall in love with Narcissus by: Mor (www.morcosmetics.com). Encased in an onyx colored bulb-pressed bottle, it's the perfect fragrance for a night out!

Can't wait to discover more fabulous items and I hope to see you soon. Tchao, kel c.
