Hair-Raising Thoughts

It's one thing to love your duds, it's a whole other thing to love your look....and one of the most important things when putting yourself together for almost any woman is her hair. Summer in Atlanta is particularly hard with the intense humidity. I've been looking for other options than the easy-peasy pony-tail pull-back and here's a few I may tackle in the coming weeks:
Anna Paquin works a perfectly lovely messy side bun
Looks a bit fancy, but I think I can pull off a similar version with about 1 million bobby pins
I've been trying to master this cross-over braid for a few months now
Taylor Swift rocks the Bohemian look with a Bandeau. Not sure if this is for me so I have been sticking to our fabulous headbands by local Kelly Cadet and Pistachio

Spruce it up!

Hi Ladies! We're always trying to find ways to make an outfit hotter without going overboard. There are subtle things we can do to bring out our natural sex appeal: perfume, new shade of gloss, fabulous shoe, striking hair cut, the list goes on and on. Well my new must have that really does it for me and everyone I've come into contact with(while wearing it). What is this wonderful invention you ask. Your answer are these fantastic accent pieces made by r.ki.tekt. These fab accents are handmade with fabric covered buttons, vintage appliques, and finished with pheasant feathers. They come in an array of colors great for every getup! I'm in love with these as you can see below and you will be too. Come by Jac and see!

Toddler/ Kid Gifts for Girls!

Here at Jac. we have a plethora of baby gifts ranging from hanker chief bibs, rock'n roll onsies, swaddling blankets, burpies, sock monkeys, and animal backpacks. Jaci always picks out super cute, one of a kind baby items that are great gifts for any baby shower or even toddler. They are not your typical pink and blue boring baby gifts, that's for sure.

And Giddy Giddy hair clips have arrived! We normally have baby items that can be both for boys and girls, but Giddy Giddy products are definitely for the little girls, .... sorry boys.

Giddy Giddy was created by Teri Dimalanta, investment analyst turned craftaholic mom. She is most giddy when sewing, painting, designing and making stuff. It was as if turning into a mom 3 years ago ignited the inner artist and crafter. What inspired these handmade felt creations for little girls' pretty little melons? The desperate need to tame her new daughter's unwieldy mohawk with something cool, quirky, and fun. Equally important to creating adorable designs is making the clips functional and safe. These clips are intricately handcrafted with a snap clip sewn securely inside. They are designed to stay on, even on baby fine hair.

Hope everyone is loving this Fall weather and stop in and check out these adorable felt hair clips!

Sadly, we are still lusting....

But it's only sad because I was supposed to have a delivery today to share with. Oh poo. I guess we'll just have to be content musing over these little treasures:

One for you, a birdie for me: Foresta tote by DrikaB on Etsy
Perfect earrings by Deborah Fallowfield, found at Contemporary Jeweller

And lastly, this floppy hat found at Target, which I actually no longer have to lust over since I now own it. But hey, why shouldn't you lust?

Hair & There...

Warm weather leads to fun hair accessories. Not that you can only wear your hair cute in the spring/summer, but with humidity, why bother keeping your hair down when you know it just wants to kink up?? The smart thing to do would be to keep one of these cute hair accessories on hand:

Rachel Weisman headband found at BarneysHairband by Colette Malouf found at Henri Bendel

Head wrap by Jennifer Behr - available at Intermix

Susan Daniels headband, available at KitsonFlower clip at Anthropologie
